In chapter "1.10.15   Surcharge  / Overloading"   i noticed a translation error:

Quand on donne à une variable Scilab le nom d'une fonction, d'un opérateur ou d'une procédure prédéfinie, il y surcharge et l'élément prédéfini n'est plus accessible.
When a variable Scilab has the name of a predefined function, operator or procedure, there is overloading, and the predefined element is more accessible .

The English sentence says that the predefined element is accessible, whereas the French version says it is "no more accessible", which i think is the intention of overloading.
I know it is rather silly and of infinitesimal value, but see it as my very first contribution.

Your presentation finally made the 2D and 3D Graphics mode comprehensible for me.  You have undertaken a monumental task which SciLab has needed for a long time. I hope that others will join in and help in this effort.  I had no difficulty following the material.

Bonjour,
 Dans le cadre de ma mission je code des interfaces utilisateur en scilab, j'ai eu recours à votre cours disponible sur le net et qui représente une très bonne introduction à ce logiciel.
je fais mes interfaces en utilisant les UICONTROL mais le problème que j'ai rencontré c'est au niveau de la mise en place des graphes.
Avec matlab j'ai unclu les axes dans mon interface, le plot s'execute directement dans mon interface tandis qu'avec scilab une nouvelle fenêtre graphique s'ouvre pour executer le plot.
pourriez vous m 'aider là dessus ou me dire s 'il existe un equivalent de la fonction axes (uicontrol) de matlab en scilab.
